Plain and cold concrete walls
vs. vibrant, artistic and happy
walls. I know what I prefer.

amazing street art.
Graffiti, or street art, is a
beautifully expressive form of
art. It is bold, striking, and
demands
attention
from
passers-by. Art makes people
happy, makes them think, and
become open to new perceptions
of reality and fiction. Although
some graffiti may not make
some people too happy if it
winds up on their newly painted
fence, the German street-art
duo, called Herakut, has got it
down to a fine art. Jasmin
Siddiqui and Falk Lehman have
been all over the world, from
Germany, to New York, creating
a story of two children-Jay and
Lily-through a series of murals.
Although they call themselves
graffiti artists the majority of
their work is commissioned,
and some of their art of smaller
scale is displayed in several
galleries. To see more of
Herakut’s incredible work, you
can purchase a copy of their
two
books:
The
Perfect
Merge and After the Laughter, or
