SHOW OFF :
What is the point
of working out if
you can’t show off
the results a little?
Cool workout gear
that makes you
look great will inspire you to get out
the door so all those who are less
fit will fall over dead with envy.
MOTIVATION
PUSH FOR A CAUSE :
Decide to kick cancer
– or diabetes or heart
disease etc. - in
the butt and honour
someone dear to you
who’s struggling by
training for a charity run, walk or bike
marathon. We all have our favourite
causes to support – and a wealth of
reasons for the passions they inspire in us – so turn that enthusiasm
into personal power to muscle your
way out the door to your workout.
MIX IT UP : Who loves the same meal served day in and
day out? Not you! And you probably don’t like to follow the
same old exercise routine all the time, either. So spice things
up with a variety of activities. Take a lesson – learn to ski, to
snowboard or to dance – or try yoga, zumba, or Pilates…anything, as long as you’ve never done it before. Then promise
you’ll give it at least eight weeks to see if you really do like it.
As grandma used to say, “A change is as good as a rest!”

FAKE IT : So…you really can’t face the workout today? Fine.
Play ‘pretend you did’ and add some extra activity to your every
day errands by parking at the back of the lot or the wrong end of
the mall, walking instead of driving to the school to pick up the
kids and taking the elevator instead of the stairs at work etc.
