In response, Alex Hsu has launched “The Next Pair”, an e-retailer which addresses the market gap for 20 Aussie shoe lovers wanting to purchase their kicks at globally comparable prices. The annual world consumer price index maps the world’s prices relative to the US dollar, and for the fourth year Australia has topped the list with the highest dollar. It was after the launch of his first business Sonix that Hsu conceived of the idea, which would address this issue, which was to take his background in IT and bridge the two worlds he loved and knew – technology and shoes.
