Be specific
If you work with sports-specific clients or
athletes then having your clients wear a
multi-sport tracker is a great way for you
to gain even more detailed information
about their training. For example:

You can track the distances and
paces your marathon runners are
doing
•
You can see the heart rate and
recovery times of your triathletes
•
You can even monitor how well they
sleep before a big race.
Some wearables can even provide us
with as much info as a university lab!
Don’t:
If you’re working with clients who have
goals more along the lines of weight
management and/or improving their
overall fitness then there are activity
trackers that are more appropriate. Such
technology will show you data such as
daily movement, sleep patterns and
overall energy expenditure.

Don’t be over-focused on the
tracker or device. Even the best
tech in the world will always have
a small degree of discrepancy.
Instead, use wearables as an overall
guide to your client’s habits and
act
