Design Junction was set up by two local creatives who believe in sharing artistic experiences . Classes are mostly aimed at beginners and are about having fun and learning a new skill such as pottery or tufting – with gift cards available for both . The latest opportunity is to paint a pre-made piece of pottery , with prices from £ 12.50 for a bunny to £ 24 for a plant pot including firing cost .

Bella Crafts is a community hub for young and older crafters . A whole host of activities range from Christmas Wreath Workshop on 7 December to decopatch walk-in workshops , and paint and sip late nights . They also offer fun festive party ‘ packages ’ for friends or work colleagues mixing Christmas crafting with music , buffet and bingo .

At Chocolate Craft you can go the full chocaholic , from super indulgent chocolate parties to learning how to make chocolate at advanced masterclasses . Chocolate workshops are a fun way to make your own delicious bespoke chocolates , and at Christmas these workshops have a seasonal twist with festive flavours and decorating a chocolate bauble from 7 to 21 December .

From silversmithing to resin-casting , Peter Symonds ’ adult and higher education division has a programme of inspirational leisure courses . Seasonal ones include Festive Willow Weaving on 28 November , Make A Festive Wreath and Festive Needle Felting decorations on 30 November . New courses next year feature Floristry with Spring Flowers , Textile Wall Hanging and Land Sea and Sky in Watercolour .
