Christmas at Jane Austen ' s House
Head to Jane Austen ’ s House in Chawton from 21 November to 4 January and see the house dressed for Christmas in Regency style , with evergreens and flickering candles . Enjoy specially created audio , bringing Christmas scenes from Emma to life and handmade decorations made from discarded copies of the novel . Candlelit tours of the house take place on 6 and 14 December , followed by mulled wine and mince pies in the kitchen .

Discos for Grown-ups comes to Bapsy Hall at Guildhall , for a night of 70s disco , 80s pop and 90s dance classics on 29 November . Get glittered up for fun , fab and feel-good dancing . Steam Illuminations
Enjoy an incredible light show on a steam train on the Watercress Line in Alresford , with thousands of coloured LED lights and special wristbands lighting up trains inside and out along the track .
New this year is a Snowlight Cascade of falling lights , while a canopy of lights will be in every carriage . Trains depart from Alresford or Alton and complete a round trip which includes festive tunes as you travel . Book for dates from 29 November to 4 January .
