[ Mark ] If I need a djembe , I love my Pearl Elite Fiberglass . I like mounting detuned pandeiros , often played with plastic rods . For a low impact sound , large surdos with legs are great since they can squeeze into a rig well . I usually throw in a couple small Pearl acrylic concert toms or roto toms . For some material , the lapdrums from American Percussion Instruments are cool , especially if you put a lav mic inside of them .
