[ Travis ] 1 . Set boundary ’ s and stick to them to prevent burnout .
2 . The best gear is the gear you have on hand . Work with what you have ; dream big but also within your budget . Be a good steward of resources and money .
In today ’ s world , there ’ s a solution within everyone ’ s budget . It ’ s easy to get down about what others have and what you don ’ t . I ’ m guilty of this . Just make the most of what you got . Be encouraged that you and your church are reaching people that others aren ’ t . That ’ s what it ’ s about . We all play a part . No matter how big or small your church is you and your church are vital . The toys are cool and fun , but THE GOSPEL is enough .
3 . A mentor of mine , Mike Evans , once said : “ The best system is the one you don ’ t know is there .” I apply this thought to all things tech . When a sound system or lighting system is doing exactly what it should you should almost forget that it ’ s there . ZERO distractions , GOSPEL focused .
