Favorite virtual instruments? Arturia and Spectrasonics
Acoustic piano? No, I wish I had the room.
Recent Scripture that inspired you? So many, but I think Colossions 3:16 is a good one. I like the word“ admonish” each other with songs. What we are doing is so much more than entertainment or for enjoyment. It is needed to help, correct, encourage, challenge, and teach the people of the church.

Recent worship album you have been enjoying listening to? John Van Deusen is making some pretty incredible music. For more mainstream, I think the Gateway Worship team is killing it right now

Words of advice for other worship songwriters? Don’ t let a level of success be the reason you start or continue. The way the Lord looks at our art and music is“ how am I going to use it.” Whether it is for just tomorrow for 10 people or for generations and for millions of people, that is for God to decide. We just have to continue to be faithful with the gifts he has given us.

Any tips for co-writing songs? 1. Don’ t come with anything that is precious to you. 2. Sign up for the adventure of discovery. 3. Songs are not a math problem. i. e. this lyric plus this chord plus this melody equals a song. A song is meant to be caught( especially in worship, caught from above). We spend too much time trying to solve a song instead of discovering it.
