The Boss Katana amp line has been very popular for the company for all the right player reasons . They are packed with player requested features , constructed sturdy , not too heavy and one Katana can replace several other amplifiers thanks to their versatility . [ WM ] Worship Musician received the new Katana-
50MkII EX model in for review . Other additions include the Katana-Artist MkII Head and Katana Cabinet 212 Waza . The Katana-50 MkII EX has integrated features that were previously only available in the Artist series of the line . The amplifier can now be linked to another MkII EX amp for true stereo expandability with one patch cable allowing ping pong delay , stereo chorus , and cascade reverb . A built in Line Output permits the amp to be fed directly to a PA system or audio interface featuring cabinet simulation with no need for a direct box .

The Katana Artist MkII Head delivers 100 watts of power in a compact chassis with three speaker outputs ( 2 x 16 ohm & 1x 8 ohm ), five amp voicings and ten amp tone variations . A 3-way contour toggle lets you adjust the midrange frequency to your personal taste . Other features match the EX-amplifier such as 3 band EQ , solo boost , 60 BOSS effects , variable power control and BOSS Tone studio editing .
The Katana Artist Head MkII 100w Guitar head can handle all your live performance needs . The Katana Cabinet 212 Waza was created to pair with the Katana Artist MkII amp head . It is a 2 x 12 configuration with Waza speakers and tweaked to provide 60 ’ s style British
