[ WM ] What is your main stage and songwriting guitar and / or keyboard you use ? Please give us the brand name and model if you know it .
[ Hannah Hobbs ] For the last decade my primary guitar has been the Martin OMJM . I love the size , it feels perfect for me . Although I have other acoustics , I always find myself returning to the OMJM .
[ WM ] What brand / model vocal microphone do you use in your home studio ?
[ Hannah ] My home studio mic is a Shure SM7B . I have used this mic for years now and am really happy with it .
[ WM ] If you play an acoustic guitar , what pickup system is on your guitar ?
[ Hannah ] The OMJM has a Fishman pick up . I purchased the guitar over the phone , so was nervous to play it for the first time “ live ”, but from the very first moment I plugged in , I have been so happy with its sound . Many of our FOH engineers at church comment regularly on how good it sounds .
[ WM ] What brand capo do you use ?
Hannah Hobbs , Alexander Pappas - Yes He Lives
[ Hannah ] I use a bright red Kyser Quick Change capo .
[ WM ] What guitar strings do you prefer ?
[ Hannah ] The Martin Acoustic Phosphor Bronze light are my go-to strings of choice . Occasionally I will try other gauges and brands , but always find myself returning to these .
[ WM ] Are you using a pedal tuner ?
[ Hannah ] My go-to tuner is the Boss TU-3 Chromatic Tuner . It ’ s a staple .
[ WM ] For In-Ear Monitors what brand are you using ?
[ Hannah ] My in-ears are the Ultimate Ears UE 7 Pros . Many of our team at church use the same model ( including our monitor engineers ), so this helps with creating consistent mixes across the board .
[ WM ] What do you use to capture song ideas down with ?
[ Hannah ] If I ’ m in a writing session , the Voice Memo app on my iPhone is how I capture ideas . When building a basic demo , I work in Logic .
[ WM ] What is a current worship record you enjoy listening to right now ?
[ Hannah ] SEVEN by Brooke Ligertwood is a worship record I absolutely love . My current favorite song off the album is “ Ancient Gates ”.
[ WM ] What is the next piece of gear you would be excited to have ?
[ Hannah ] I would love to have a large body acoustic one day . Perhaps a Guild or some kind of Gibson . I was lucky enough to borrow a large body Guild from Michael Guy Chislett when recording my album SUNDOWN and I really enjoyed playing it .
