[ Derek Johnson ] I’ m a lifelong Martin player, but my main Martin is an OM 28.

[ Derek ] Earthworks SR3117 capsule on a Shure Axient Digital transmitter.
[ WM ] If you play an acoustic guitar, what pickup system is on your guitar?
[ Derek ] I use the LR Baggs Anthem.

[ Derek ] The G7th Performance 3

[ WM ] What is the next piece of gear you would be excited to have?
[ Derek ] A New Martin of course! A newer D-45! I have a 1970 D-45 but that doesn’ t leave the house.

[ Derek ] John Wilds- I Want Jesus
[ WM ] Can you name one challenge you have faced in ministry and how have you grown through it?
[ Derek ] I initially felt such a reluctance to leadership. I didn’ t want to hurt people or let them down. Leadership is hard but it’ s also become such a blessing. I have a front row seat to seeing people I love dearly, grow into who God has called them to be.
[ WM ] Do you have words of encouragement to fellow worship leaders, worship bands and audio teams who serve week in and week out at their local church?
[ Derek ] Remember the eternal impact you’ re making. The services come and go, but in every one of them God is touching people on a soul level. What a privilege to be a part of that!
