[ WM ] Can you name one challenge you have faced in ministry and how have you grown through it?
[ Meredith ] I used to put so much stock in ministry and honestly didn’ t know who I was without it. It’ s so easy to try to find our security and our identity in what we do FOR the Kingdom, but there is an invitation from the Father to discover His heart and to heal the fractured places in our story so that we are not working FOR identity, but from it.
[ WM ] Do you have words of encouragement to fellow worship leaders, worship bands and audio teams who serve week in and week out at their local church?
[ Meredith ] Don’ t stop showing up in the little things. Be faithful and seemingly insignificant places. Success in the world looks like achievement and recognition, success in the
Kingdom is obedience and faithfulness. Let your worship start in private long before you set foot on a platform. We can’ t take people where we’ re not first willing to go ourselves. Never forget to receive the love of God because everything else flows from knowing our identity as the Beloved.
