CRYPTID Fuzz pedal by Wampler VersaRack by AS Crafted Products
Shure MV7i
If you are a fuzz effects fan like me then you have heard the buzz, no Dad joke intended, about the new CRYPTID pedal by Wampler. What Brian Wampler and his team did was essentially roll all of our favorite vintage fuzz effects and splash of overdrive into one singular effects unit. The CRYPTID has standard pedal adjustments like tone, volume and fuzz. But what sets this one apart is the Character knob which delivers you from semi-overdrive to over-the-top breakup fuzz by sweeping it. The Chime toggle switch does a great job with that facet of the sound, but the Tight toggle adds or removes your bass frequency. The great thing is that the CRYPTID works well for guitars and basses. This is the best multi-function fuzz pedal I have ever heard and if you are tired of one trick pony fuzz effects I would recommend making the switch to this pedal. The Wampler CRYPTID is priced at $ 199.97 which is very reasonable for this many fuzz effects rolled into one pedal device! www. wamplerpedals. com
If you have more three or four instruments, then you probably need a place to store them appropriately and not just in a closet or under a bed. I have been using Guitar Storage products for years and they just released a brilliant new product called the VersaRack. The cool part about this product is that it can be configured to store 3 instruments cases and 3 instruments, six cases or six instruments. You decide what works best for your guitars and your space. It only took me twenty minutes to assemble in my living room and it looks like a quality piece of furniture. All wood fabricated and American made. Priced at only $ 209, the VersaRack would work great for studios, music rooms or anywhere you need a better way to store cases or display instruments. I’ m probably going to put one in my office at work too. The price and quality of VersaRack from Guitar Storage can’ t be beat, and they provide a more professional and protective way to take care of our musical tools! Check the VersaRack and other instrument storage products out on their website. VersaRack would also work on stage with Praise teams or in performance Youth Group spaces for cleaner more protective case & instrument storage. www. guitarstorage. com
We have covered Shure microphones in the past but what makes the new Shure MV7i truly innovative is the built-in interface. The MV7i provides three different options for connectivity via XLR and ¼” for input and USB-C for output. Essentially using the MV7i you can connect a second microphone to the mic and record a two-person podcast or duet music performance directly to your computer, phone or tablet. Shure has eliminated the need for a separate interface or mixer to join the microphones together and you have Voice Isolation technology built-in with DSP. The MV7i also delivers 60db gain and 48v phantom power for condenser microphones. Touch sensitive panel with dual channel LED display lets you adjust audio on the fly and the Digital Popper Stopper eliminates the need for a conventional pop filter. The MV7i also has three built-in reverbs and is compatible with MOTIV audio Apps. The Shure MV7i is priced at only $ 349 with a bevy of features and excellent sound quality. www. shure. com
