Acoustic Guitar ( s ): 2012 Gibson J-45 Standard with LR Baggs Element Active Pickup The J45 is a workhorse acoustic . It sounds great live and records super well . This has been my main acoustic for leading worship and playing in bands for the past 12 years .
2015 Martin CEO-7 with K & K Pure Mini Pickup This is actually my wife ’ s guitar , but I steal it as often as I can because it is the best sounding small-body acoustic that I ’ ve ever played . The K & K Pure Mini is also a really great sounding pickup that doesn ’ t require any batteries and doesn ’ t take away from the guitar ’ s natural tone .
Electric Guitar ( s ): PRS SE DGT The SE DGT is my newest guitar , but I am a huge fan . I think this is one of the best sub $ 1k guitars that you can buy right now . You can get so many great tones out of it , and the coil-taps on these pickups actually sound great .
2014 Fender Classic Player Jazzmaster Special The Jazzmaster is such a unique and awesome design . From the pickups to the offset shape , I ’ ve always been drawn to these guitars . The tremolo system , when setup correctly , is my favorite of all the options out there .
2006 American Fender Telecaster The Telecaster is such a simple yet versatile guitar , and I think it really shines in the context of modern worship . The tone of a Tele running into an AC30 just roars and cuts so well in a mix . If I could only have one guitar it would be a Tele .
Guitar Amp ( s ): Fender ’ 65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue Vox AC30 C2X These are two of the greatest amps of all time . You can find great deals on both of these amps on the used market . So many boutique amps are based off the original design of the Deluxe
