Protein is hands-down my favorite overdrive ever. The blue side is a Bluesbreaker with more output and control over gain and tone and it’ s the perfect first stage drive. The green side is a tweaked ODR1. Not as stuffy as the original ODR1 though. More open and more clarity. Saturates very nicely as a second stage drive. The blue and green together are magic. I can NOT play without the DISO. The DISO is better than a standard DI. It gives my signal clarity and punch that a DI can’ t. When FOH gets my signal it is clear and strong. No need to add gain which in turn adds noise. If you are using a modeler of some kind, I highly recommend getting a DISO!
