Electric Guitar( s): I have three guitars to highlight. The first two are my brand-new signature guitars with a Malaysian Guitar company called Shue Guitars( Pronounced SHE).
The first guitar is my Forest Green Shue guitar. It is available now on Shue’ s website for $ 2,800. It has taken my tone venture by storm and is fulfilling every checkbox I had. It has the ultimate clean tone with loud and bold custom Shue pickups that are the most dynamic pickups I’ ve ever played on. They are somehow louder but not over compressed so I can get a raging lead tone with much more ease than before. It is built with 100 year old Malaysian Mamywoo Wood. This is an incredible accomplishment on their end to have such old wood to build these guitars with, and it has some of the strongest and smoothest midrange I’ ve ever heard.
The second guitar is my second signature guitar with Shue, that has not yet released. It is a 27” scale length and tuned to D Standard. So, it is the meaner sounding brother to the forest green guitar. I have been so fascinated lately with deeper tuned guitars, but I didn’ t want it to have baritone strings because it changes the feel of the tone of the third string since it is wound. So this D Standard guitar uses normal guitar strings for familiarity, but the longer scale length increases the tension while tuned to D Standard to feel like normal tension.
The third guitar is my favorite single coil guitar. It’ s my Puleo Telecaster with Lipstick tube pickups, it was his 100th guitar build. I’ m obsessed with lipstick tube pickups and their tone. So anytime I need something for recording with more headroom and some nice glassy, single coily tone, this guitar has been unparalleled for that.
Guitar Amp( s): My favorite amps are my Forest Green JMI 30 / 6 and Blankenship TwinPlex. The JMI 30 / 6 was made from 2000-2010 roughly and only about 350 of them were made. It is
