n December of 2013, Kaitlyn
Black graduated from Black Hills
State University in Spearfish, SD,
with a BS in Mass Communications,
an emphasis in Photography and
a double minor in Marketing &
Commercial Arts. She had slowly
been investing in her business Lazy
KT Designs before graduation and
was able to dive in head first as soon
as she walked across the stage.
With her business, Kaitlyn uses
people’s photos, logos and artwork
to create custom gifts, keepsakes,
promotional items, awards, art and
more. Whether you are looking for a
unique piece to decorate your home,
bridal party gifts, are an artist
looking to expand their product
line, a shop interested in new
products or a group or organization
looking for awards, Lazy KT
Designs can help!
Kaitlyn has quickly grown her
business, adding different products
along the way and adding a website
to the mix. A few of the products
she is able to print on and customize
include slate, cutting boards,
coasters, flasks, metal business
cards, mugs, wood, dry erase
boards and tons of other unique
items all of which can be found at
www.lazyktdesigns.com. Not only
does she offer her products on a
retail level for customers, but she
also works with a wide variety of
22
shops, artists, photographers and
organizations from around the
country on a wholesale level.
Kaitlyn also took it upon herself
to become licensed to print the
Wyoming Bucking Horse and other
trademarked Wyoming symbols
in 2014. She has successfully
sold hundreds of thousands
of coasters, cutting boards,
mugs, slates and more with the
Wyoming symbols and plans on
expanding her Wyoming product
line this year as well. Lazy KT
Designs’ different Wyoming
items can be found throughout
the state at The Curiosity
Shoppe in Laramie, Ladybugs
& Polkadots in Douglas, W
Bar Feed & Ranch Supply in
Hulett, Avenue Mall in Gillette
and Annie’s Antiques in Buffalo.
She also frequents retail shows
throughout Wyoming, South
Dakota and Montana.
Kaitlyn works with organizations
to create unique awards, special
recognitions and more. Whether
it be a local group or a national
organization, Kaitlyn will help you
design one of a kind awards that are
sure to please. Looking for a unique
fundraiser? Lazy KT Designs offers
Create Your Own Slate Fundraisers.
For each custom slate sold through
the fundraiser, $10 is donated back
to the group or organization.
