11th
year head coach Joe Legerski and the
Wyoming basketball program are geared up
for another exciting season. With a solid group
of returners and the addition of some talented newcomers, they
are ready to challenge in the Mountain West.
Two starters and nine letterwinners return
this season to a squad that finished 24-8
overall and 12-4 in the Mountain West. The
squad is comprised of three seniors, three
juniors, five sophomores and two freshmen.
Of those nine returning letterwinners,
six of them played in 21 games or more
in 2012-13 which included three juniors,
two sophomores and one true freshman.
Seniors Fallon Lewis, Chelan Landry
and Kaylee Hoffman will factor in to the
38
Cowgirls’ success. Several other players
who will be contributors for the Cowgirls
this season include junior Jordan Sibrel
and sophomores Marquelle Dent, Whitney
Gordon and Fatima Thiam.
Legerski is also very excited with the
incoming players he has this year and feels
they have the ability to come in and make
an impact right away. In all, the Cowgirls
welcome four newcomers to this year’s
team. They are Jasmine Davis (5-9,
