“It’s Been Rebuilt.”

I
t’s been rebuilt. Those were the words of head coach Larry
Shyatt to the University of Wyoming men’s basketball team
before the start of the 2013-14 season. He was referring, of
course, to the fact the Cowboys have come a long ways in
Shyatt’s two seasons at the helm. More than 40 wins, two
postseason berths, three wins over ranked opponents and a 2.8 team
grade-point average for the highest in 10 years. Shyatt was also
conveying to the Pokes that expectations are higher now than at any
point in the previous two seasons.

successful season in 2012-13. Wyoming
surpassed expectations with a 20-14 overall
record en route to another postseason berth
in the College Basketball Invitational, where
they won an exciting first-round game
against Lehigh with a buzzer beater. The
