She is the chair for the WY Civil Pattern
Jury Instruction Committee, has served
on the UW Symphony Board and the
Laramie Community Service Block Grant
Committee, which distributes government
funds to local nonprofits that serve those
below poverty level. “Volunteering also
allows me to meet fascinating individuals,
develop friendships , and grow as an
individual,” Tori says.
Is she a Super Mom?! “I just try to live a
whole, well-rounded life that demonstrates
(mainly to my children) that our
commitment to this world is to leave it a
better place than we found it,” Tori says.
In my mind, Tori IS a Super Mom. I
admire her drive every day, knowing that
she’s also taking care of her family solo.
“It’s the toughest job I’ll ever love,” Tori
says of being a single mom. “My children
mean the world to me, so I dance a delicate
balance between working woman and
devoted mother, with occasional time carved
out for myself! I firmly believe in teaching
my children the value of balance in life,
which means equal parts dedication to
family, work, our community and ourselves.
Sometimes that’s easier said than done!”
I couldn’t see any difficulty etched in Tori’s
face that day as she cradled her newly
broken arm and smiled at us. Whenever I
have a tough day, I need to remember her
lesson – and put a brand new smile on my
face. She is an inspiration to me every day!
