Levi Hime of Laramie is a Renaissance Man.
A groundwater geologist & GIS specialist, Levi is the
current chair of the WY Board of Professional Geologists.
He is also an entrepreneur and a pointe fitting specialist,
working with ballerinas all over Wyoming and in
South Dakota. Indulging his photography hobby works
well around business travels and following the adventures
of his children. Kati Hime feels particularly lucky to call
him her husband.
June Johnston of Star Valley’s first writing accomplishment
was an Easter play for her eighth grade class which the
students performed in the classroom. After graduation in
1958 she married Bob, her high school sweetheart. They
moved to Wyoming in 1974. Through the years June has
been a bank teller, decorator, and owner of an art gallery
and frame shop. She retired in 2006 and went back to
her early love of writing. June has a column in her local
newspaper called “Life in the Loony Lane”. She and Bob
are great grandparents to 12 and live in Star Valley with
their Pomeranians, Cricket and Bandit.
Travis Klingler of Laramie is an OB/GYN, photography
enthusiast, husband and father of five. Photography has
given Travis the opportunity to learn a lot about the world
around him, as well as himself. “My desire is to capture the
emotion of an image and present that image in such a way
as to reproduce a similar emotion in the viewer,” he says.
Whether following the adventures of his family, chasing
lightning or a beautiful landscape, his photography satisfies
Travis’s need to connect with others. Travis is a frequent
contributor to WLM via his photography and women’s
health columns.
Garrett Fisher of Germany via Alpine via Many Other
Amazing Places, took his first flight when he was two. At
age eight, his grandfather started giving him lessons, and
he had his private pilot certificate at age 17 in a Piper PA-
11 Cub Special. Today, Garrett takes this same PA-11 on
his adventures, photographing along the way and writing
books about his experiences. “There is no shortage of
adventure flying over wilderness areas, close to the ground,
without a radio, and literally flying by the seat of my pants
(with the door open),” Garrett says. Visit garrettfisher.me to
find his books, blog and more adventures.
