CM Russell said, “To have talent is no credit to its owner.” I believe inborn talent comes from the Great Creator; if my art causes someone to realize and appreciate that force in the creation around us, I’m grateful. My full-time job of 17 years with a school district ended when teacher’s aide positions were removed; this was a blessing in disguise, putting me on the path to follow my dreams of painting full-time. I’m now immersed in art: I teach energetic two-hour evening painting workshops at our local art center, and have learned a lot by teaching others to quickly & joyfully construct a painting. During the summers I manage the Hans Kleiber Studio Museum in Dayton, where I give tours and meet people from around the world.
