WLM | people how complex our relationship with nature is. Modern existence can put a real strain on our connection with the natural world, and we wanted to create a place where people can explore what that connection means. WLM: What does the future look like for Wyoming Public Media? Specifically meaning – do you plan to create more of these special types of podcasts that are available online? MS: We’d like to extend Wyoming Public Media’s reach beyond the state. And because nature and outdoor recreation are so much a part of the Wyoming experience, we hope this podcast gives listeners a little taste of this place, too. We’ve also launched a monthly podcast for people who want to experience the Mountain West. It’s also on iTunes, and it’s called the Modern West; it’s a monthly digest of Wyoming Public Media’s stories exploring Western themes—from rodeos to wildlife to art. The internet—and podcasts—are a great way for us to expand our audience and at the same time, to find niche audiences who are interested in particular subjects or experiences.
