June Johnston of Star Valley’s first writing accomplishment
was an Easter play for her eighth grade class which the
students performed in the classroom. After graduation in
1958 she married Bob, her high school sweetheart. They
moved to Wyoming in 1974. Through the years June was
a bank teller, decorator, and owner of an art gallery and
frame shop. She retired in 2006 and went back to her early
love of writing. June has a column in her local newspaper
called “Life in the Loony Lane.” She and Bob are great
grandparents to six and live in Star Valley with their toy
Pomeranians, Cricket and Bandit.
Aaron Kraft of Jackson is a freelance photographer
specializing in architectural, interior and fine art imagery.
“The environment of the American mountain west is in my
blood,” Aaron says. “Having been born in the shadow of
the Tetons and spending the vast majority of my life living
in the mountains, both my commercial and personal work
is heavily influenced by the dramatic light, weather and
scenery that can be found in western Wyoming. Being
able to tell a cohesive story with my imagery, no matter
the subject, is always my goal.” Visit kraftyphotos.com to

Cathy Mitkovska of Alpine “After growing up in Ohio, I
found Wyoming after stumbling upon an internship,” Cathy
says. “That was eight years ago and I’ve never looked back.
As a llama packing guide in The Wind River, Gros Ventre,
and Wyoming Ranges I honed my skills in the backcountry.
Now residing in Alpine with my husband and two year old
(and our trusty mutt), I am developing a new appreciation
for our wild places and sharing them with my family.”
David Huber of Worland has been a life long resident
of both Worland and Wyoming. While growing up, he
was involved with the family feedlot operation taking
care of 10,000 head of cattle and 35,000 head of sheep.
After going to college for photography, David moved to
Seattle and did food photography for a menu company.
After four years, he moved back to Worland where he
met his wife (Heidi). David and Heidi have two grown
sons. Over the years David has photographed literally
hundreds of weddings, families and senior portraits. He
also photographs numerous sporting events like football,
rodeo, soccer and just about anything considered a sport.
See David’s work online at www.huberphoto.com.
Travis Klingler of Laramie is an OB/GYN, photography
enthusiast, husband and father of five. Photography has
given Travis the opportunity to learn a lot about the world
around him, as well as himself. “My desire is to capture the
emotion of an image and present that image in such a way
as to reproduce a similar emotion in the viewer,” he says.
Whether following the adventures of his family, chasing
lightning or a beautiful landscape, his photography satisfies
Travis’s need to connect with others. Travis is a frequent
contributor to WLM via his photography and women’s
health columns.
