Interview With flash33

Q: What got you interested in Wizard101 and Wizard101 Central?

A: Well I first found out about Wizard101 via a TV commercial in 2009 (this was back during the malistaire arc, after dragonsypre had already been released). Seeing how the game looked pretty interesting, I figured I'd give it a try. I had already played 2 MMO's before this (Toontown Online and Fusion Fall, the latter of which was the first game I ever beta tested), so I already had experience in the mmo genre. For my first wizards name, I took the test and ended up in the school of fire, and as for my name, I chose the name Seth Shadowcloud (Seth is my actual name, shadow for shadow the hedgehog from the sonic the hedgehog series and cloud for cloud strife from the final fantasy and kingdom hearts series), and I've never regretted either choice. I like how w101 has full voice-acting in it, which is a first as I've yet to see any other game (aside from pirate101 of course) that features full voice acting, so you can tell that Kingsisle really put allot of effort into this game, and despite some of the issues it may have, it's still a pretty good game I have to admit.

As for wizard101 central, the danger hound pet contest is what initially got me to join as I wanted to get that pet for my wizard. Even though I never got the pet for who knows what reason, I decided to stick around and be part of the community in ways I hadn't done before. Though I joined this site in 2009, due to forgetting my password, it wasn't until 2011 that I actually began posting here. I also took an interest in member hosted contests and events and liked the idea of the Event Calendar. What most people may not know is that former moderator FuzzyWuzzy actually was in charge of the thread before I was. After helping her keep it updated for so long, she eventually asked me personally if I would take over for her as her life just got too busy for her to look after it, and since I was keeping it updated almost regularly, we both thought that I was the best choice at the time to keep it updated whenever possible.

A couple years later, I decided to get a blog to talk about things that interest me as well as other stuff I've noticed going on around the site and in the world (mostly gaming world). It's also where I write video game reviews for people to see.

Being on this site and this game has been a real learning experience for me, as I've learned a bunch of life lessons that I didn't know before (I can't think of any off the time of my head though sadly), and I am very thankful for that. In fact, to be honesty with you, if I hadn't discovered this game and/or not had become a part of this community like I did, I honestly think that I'd be a different person then the one that I am today, so there's that

Q: You recently had a name change that cost 800 forum gold to take off one 3 in your name, what made you want to do that?

A: Oh boy, heheheh, there's actually a reason why I chose the name flash333 (three 3's, not the actual number 333). You see on the official message boards I go by flash33 (flash because I liked the name (I think it was also supposed to be a reference to the hero of the same name, but I don't remember for sure, and 3 because it's my lucky number), so when I joined here I added the extra 3 on the end because I thought that if people from the message boards saw that, they'd be able to recognize me from there. After a few years of having that name, it got to the point where flash333 just started to sound very weird, so after waiting for a few years, I decided to take off the 3 and just stick to good old flash33. I think this name just sounds better than my old one and also it sounds a bit more "professional" so-to-speak.

Q: You are currently a transcended poster, what inspires you to keep posting?

A: Oh man, that's a pretty difficult question for me to answer to be honest with you there. I guess it's just the ability to share what I know and what interests me with the community. Being able to share my interests, thoughts and beliefs with many different people, I guess in the end, that's what keeps me going.

Q: What inspired you to make Legends Of The Tower Guardians?

A: Well it was after I watched another fan-made wizard101 series called "the dark queen". After watching it, I eventually became inspired to create a wizard101 series of my own. Being a big fan of role-playing, I simply took some elements of things that me and other people used to role-play based on, mainly the coven and the ravenwood towers. I chose the name "Legends of the Tower Guardians" because essentially it starts out as a legend of how the tower guardians have the power to either save or destroy the spiral at hand via the 6 ravenwood towers.

Q: What made you bring back Legends Of The Tower Guardians again?

A: I didn't want to put it on hiatus to begin with; the reason I did was because some cast members weren't showing up for the recordings and others ended up having to actually leave the cast for different reasons. During that time I thought about the future of the series, and after a couple months, I decided to try to get it going again, and so far, the responses have been pretty positive for the most part, which I am very glad to hear.

Q: Can you give us an inside look as to what is coming in Legends Of The Tower Guardians?

A: Well first off I already have the scripts for the first two episodes fully done with the script for episode 3 about 50-60% done. I also recently announced on my "Actors/actresses wanted" video on YouTube that I'm planning on hosting a meet and greet this Friday at 6:30 pm est. in the WC library in realm scarecrow, area 1, so people who are working on the set and people who are just fans/supporters of it will be able to come out and meet everyone. After that, we should have enough people to fill in at least the main roles for the series. Once that's all set and we figure out a date and time to film that works for everyone, we'll be good to go with the first episode. I have high hopes for this series and really hope it works out, which from the looks of it, seems like that will in fact be the case.
