Interview (Continued)

A:One of the hardest parts in filming is getting everyone to be there and having to get the footage just right. Scripting ‘Dark Tidings 2’ was really fun, so I think I liked that aspect of it so far. Right now we have the introduction already filmed (which came out pretty nicely) and the first scene. We’re currently looking for voice actors to fulfill the huge casting, and I really like how progress is being made. I think the movie will be a great success as the story is just amazing and this time around we’re going to be trying to use a 3D model of a dragon to place into the movie. I am not too familiar with modeling and animation yet, but I am going to try to do something that no one has ever done before. For some reason I feel like every film we make, it has to be better than the last. In whole, I like how it’s going so far, and I just hope editing doesn't take forever.

Q:What would you change about your previous movie, Dark Tidings?

A:After watching the film myself, and after getting the feedback from other fan sites and even members here on Central, I think there are a lot of things I would change now. These changes and suggestions we are also implementing in ‘Dark Tidings 2’, which is why I also think it’s going to be so much better. For one, I would have made everyone record their voice acting on their phones (especially Autumn and Marissa). I also would have added some more character depth and development into the script, and perhaps gave a better background of the story before it really started. Even though this was our first production with special effects in After Effects and voice acting, I think a lot of the issues we encountered in this film dealt with the fact that we rushed the scripting a bit. We were all so excited to voice act that we kind of slacked on the script. This time around we've changed our whole method of scripting, and we’re filling in all the holes left open in ‘Dark Tidings’ and pretty much fixing and adding everything that we didn't do in the first film to ‘Dark Tidings 2’. I think fans won’t be disappointed to see that we’re improving not only production-wise with quality in display and special effect integration, but also through story and character development.
