Interview

PrinceDaniel

We interviewed PrinceDaniel, founder of Spiral Creations.

Q:What inspired you to start Spiral Creations?

A:The thing that really inspired me to start Spiral Creations was my passion for making videos, editing, special effects, music, and graphic design. I was making YouTube videos before Spiral Creations about tutorials for programs, singing Eminem, and even podcasts. All of those videos required some type of editing, and for some reason I loved working with programs and seeing things progress as they get made and finally become a product. I was learning Photoshop before Spiral Creations too, and was even an administrator of a forum and created some designs and videos for them that dealt with some heavy editing.

Then when I started playing Wizard101, for some reason I felt like I needed to make videos too. I had always been interested in movies, so I decided to make little short non-scripted movies. Back then I was still working with movie maker. Now, I am using Adobe Premier Pro and we’re using scripts, so I can say that I've definitely taught myself and risen up the production ladder from very simple to very professional. The thing about Spiral Creations is that we’re very different from other groups that make videos. I tend to see Spiral Creations more as a family. We all care for one another, we all have the passion to create these films, and we all made Spiral Creations what it is today. There is a lot more what goes on behind the videos, and that’s what I wanted; I wanted to create a filming group that was uniquely different from others. One of the unique things we do, is Director’s Corners videos, which gives a behind the scenes look on everything we do. We also offer anyone to be a part of our team, so if anyone is interested they just need to e-mail us through our site. In general, I guess Spiral Creations was just inspired by my passions, and a mixture of wanting to create something that hasn’t been created yet where people can bond and make great friendships. I think it’s safe to say that we did a pretty good job in creating that and maintaining that.
