another world or attains moksha.
As per one of the sayings in the
Bhagavad Gita, the soul goes through
two directions, either it is through the
sun or the moon. It is said that if the
soul goes through the sun it means
that it is going to a bright destination
and if it is going through the moon
then the destination is dark.
What Does Islam Say About
Life After Death?
Looking at the Islamic understanding
about life after death, there are
several viewpoints every Muslim
scholar has. However, as per Islam,
there is no rebirth. Your life is over
after death. It is believed that a person
either goes to hell or heaven based on
his deeds.
We can relate to the concept of what
you sow and that’s what you reap.
That said, as per one of the Islamic
viewpoints of life after death, it is
nothing but what you do in your entire
life with your deeds is what you sow
and what you reap is the result of your
soul after it leaves your body and how
have you done well to your soul.
Just as Christianity talks about The
Day Of Judgement, it is the same
case with Islam as well. Islam believes
that after your death you will have to
face God on your Judgement day and
answer for all your deeds. It is said
that on this day the soul becomes
realised and gets real awakening
and this is why it is known as The
Judgement Day.
All in all, Islam does not believe in
reincarnation because the life that is
given to an individual is pure, it does not depend on
any past life deeds.
Therefore, this concept about if there is a life after
death is debatable and none of us can come to a
conclusion or clarity on a black or white answer.
Different religions say different things. Reading about
what every religion says gives us knowledge and
perspective. It is as simple as that!
