Importance Of Celebrating Teacher’s Day https://static.india.com/wp- content/uploads/2017/09/ Sarvepalli-Radhakrishnan.jpg A person named Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was the second President of India. It was his birthday that was the chosen day to celebrate Teacher’s Day and that’s how the culture began. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan has been a true inspiration in our History as he was a philosopher and professor who was a ball of energy and was awarded the Bharat Ratna for being a good civilian. He was a Telugite, born on 5th September 1988. He got a Master’s Degree in Philosophy and taught in Calcutta, Madras, and Mysore. He was loved by students and was the Vice-Chancellor in Banaras and Andhra during his time. This was after he became the President, on his birthday, his students and friends wanted to celebrate it. However, he gave them a better idea of celebrating 5th September as Teacher’s Day instead of celebrating it as his birthday. In this way, he wanted to express gratitude to his teachers who contributed to shaping him up. Celebrating on a special day is the least we can do for our Teacher’s. They deserve appreciation for how they invest energy and make efforts to turn is into bright students someday. In the Indian culture, schools and colleges perform an entire event for their teacher’s and make special efforts to gift them.
