Sankranti
The festival generally falls in
the month of January. It is
the first festival of new year
and definitely this is not the
significance.
The reason celebrating
Sankranti is meaningful and
auspicious. It is not just of
ending the winter. Know why
we celebrate and should
celebrate this festival-

l On the day of Sankranti, sun
moves from Southern sphere.
As sun remains in Southern
hemisphere in winter, the
night are longer and days
are shorter. It is religiously
believed that Lord Sun comes
from the tropic of Capricorn to
tropic of Cancer.
The belief is to forget the
bitterness and everything
negative that happened in
past and share love, shown
concern to fill positive
energy. It is a festival that
is celebrated to unitedly to
develop cordial relationships.
l Most of the jobs have
weekend breaks and holidays
occasionally. But some of the
occupations are to work round
the clock without breaks and
day offs. Farmers community
is the biggest of all in India,
who don’t take any break from
their work.
