With the BJP retaining Gujarat and snatching Himachal Pradesh from the Congress, the grand old
party is now holding power in just four states including Meghalaya and Manipur, which will go to
the polls next year along with Karnataka, where the ruling party is facing huge anti-incumbency.
On the contrary the BJP seems to have mastered the art of beating anti-incumbency. In Gujarat,
the BJP has come back to power for sixth consecutive time.
Different pockets of Gujarat voted differently in the election but the overall vote share of the BJP
has increase
