After the completion of his
graduation, Nadella flew to
the United States to pursue
his M.S from the University
of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
in Computer Science
Engineering. He finished
his degree in 1990 and later
completed his MBA from
the University Of Chicago
Booth School Of Business.
Nadella has emphasised
saying time and time that
his passion has always
been to build things which
was what helped him
discover his passion which
was Computer Science.

Career
Following completion of his
degrees, Nadella joined
the Sun Microsystems, a
company that was into sales
and IT services as a member
of its technology staff. The
company was later bought
by Oracle Corporation in
2010 for $7.4 billion.
Nadella later joined Microsoft
in 1992 and started leading
some of the biggest projects
that were associated with
cloud computing and the
ones that made the company
into one of the biggest cloud
infrastructures in the world.
Later, he was appointed as the
senior vice president and the
vice president of the Microsoft
Business division and the
Online Services Division.
Following that, Nadella took
over the $19 billion Server
and Tools Business as the
President and was responsible
for introducing changes
and transformation related
to the cloud services and
infrastructure.
His work for converting the
services and blending them
into the Azure cloud has
always been highly credited.
He brought forth growth in the
revenue in the Cloud services
from $16.6 billion to $20.3
billion in just 2 years. His 2016
pay check amounted to $86.5
million.
Later in 2014, Nadella was
announced as the CEO
of Microsoft following the
leadership of Bill Gates and
Steve Ballmer. It was later
in 2014 that he sparked
controversies when he said
that women shouldn’t ask
for raise and simply trust the
system. Following a round of
harsh critique, Nadella took to
his twitter to apologise for the
statement and even admitted
being “completely wrong” to
his colleagues at Microsoft in
an email that he sent out.
Nadella’s leadership has
witnessed a lot of implemented
changes in Microsoft, its
openness in working more
with other companies being
one of the most common
