This design is commonly seen on sarees, dresses, and dhoti that people wear in Odisha and West Bengal. The embroidery is made with silk thread. Earlier Kantha embroidery was known as Lepkantha or Sujni Kantha. These designs aren’t just made on sarees or dhoti’s, it is used as covers for boxes and mirrors as well. Usually, geometrical shapes, birds and flowers are the prominent designs of Kantha Embroidery. NO-2 Scroll Paintings In this form of art, paintings are horizontally done.
