Family Kite Festival
Celebrated On 14th Jan Was A Huge
Success
The IACRF and sister
organizations organized
this much awaited Family
Kite Festival on the 14th
Jan at Estrella Mountain
Regional Park, 14805 W
Vineyard Ave
Good Year, AZ 85338
United States. This event
was seen as a celebration
to mark the 1st festival
of the New Year, Makar
Sankranti (also called as
festival of kites). This day
is considered in India as
“Uttarayan” which marks
the start of days when
winter begins to turn into
summer. Kids, elders and
people of all age enjoyed
this beautiful event by flying
kites in the air. The kites
were made available at the
event which made it even
easier for the people to
have fun.
Event also had delicious
Uttarayan Food which were
specially cooked and served
fresh and hot at the venue –
Chiki, Fafada, Jalebi, Gota,
Khichadi, Shak, Chhas, Hot
Tea & variety of other snacks
and food items.
