In Singapore, a Republic
Day event was organised by
India’s High Commissioner,
Jawed Ashraf who unfurled
the flag and also hosted a
reception for the community
which included business
leaders.
Interestingly, the island
city-state used the world’s
largest high definition video
wall at Singapore’s Suntec
Convention Centre, lighting up
with Republic Day greetings
which read, ‘India Happy 68th
Republic Day’ and displayed
the Indian flag. Suntec is
one of the most popular
convention centres for hosting
international exhibitions and
conferences.
On similar digital lines of
celebrations, Burj Khalifa,
the world’s tallest building lit
up in tricolour and presented
a spectacular view of the
building wrapped in the Indian
flag. This not just marked the
68th Republic Day but also the
strong cultural and trade bond
between India and the UAE.
