When we realise that we
forgot the names of greatest
freedom fighters, then
we must also remember
Komaram Bheem along with
many other real heroes.
Komaram Bheem was a tribal
leader of our country decades
back. His name is only known
to the Telugu states though
he is a great freedom fighter
of India.
Birth and Early
life of Bheem
Komaram Bheem was born
on 22nd of October, in a place
named Sankepalli of Adilabad
district, Telangana. His father
was killed by forest officials
when Bheem was around 15
years old.
Bheem din’t was not educated
formally.Lack of education
and exposure were not
the constraints for him to

revolt against injustice and
wrongdoings. He was inspired
the great freedom fighters
Alluri Sita Rama Raju and
Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
Komaram Bheem As
A Freedom Fighter
Komaram Bheem’s fight was
against the Nizam rulers
for liberation of Hyderabad.
He raised his voice with the
slogan- “Jal, jungle, zameen”.
The meaning of the slogan is,
tribal people have all rights
on the natural resources
of forest. Komaram life
struggle started from his
father’s death or much
before. The Nizam ruler
during Komaram’s time was
Siddique. Siddique captured
the land of Komaram’s
family where his and the
family’s livelihood was
destroyed.Then, he rebelled
out on Siddique was killed
in the hands of Komaram.
He dint restrict the fight of
justice for himself but for
everyone around him.
