For now, Rajya Sabha has passed a bill asking for Jammu and Kashmir to be two separate Union Territories. The Lok Sabha is yet to do it after they do it, it would go to the President for his approval and if he approves it the government would authorize it and Jammu and Kashmir would no longer be a state.
