A Tribute to Robin … ( 08 / 15 / 2014 )
In ancient Jewish tradition , a person was only considered truly " passed on " on the fourth day after their body stopped living ( Interesting , isn ' t it , that Jesus was less than three full days in the tomb ... But I digress ). Well , today is the fourth day since Robin Williams was found dead in his apartment , meaning in almost every way he truly has left us ... in almost every way .
You see , a part of Robin will never perish ; a great part will remain with us all for all eternity . What can never die is the gentleness with which he graced others -- what can never die is the selfless love he gave to so many -- what can never die is the brilliance of his wit -- what can never die are the millions upon millions of laughs & chortles & snickers & guffaws that he brought up from within us ; spontaneous eruptions of glee that are reverberating & bouncing & echoing throughout the Universe still .
So thanks for the laughs , Robin . May we all bring forth even half as much Joy in the lives of others as you did ...
… and may we all recommit to doing so today . Amen ... Let it be so .
