Wisdoms from the Journey - Vol VIII (Jan thru Oct 2014) | Page 3
Cynicism masquerades as wisdom , but it is the farthest thing from it … and that is because cynicism is actually a self-imposed blindness ; a rejection of the world because we are afraid it will hurt us or betray us or disappoint us . Cynics tend to say “ no ”, and yet it is saying “ yes ” that begins all things . Saying “ Yes ” leads to growth -- Saying “ yes ” leads to understanding -- Saying “ yes ” leads to Love … Saying “ Yes ” is for the young and the young at heart . So for as long as you have the strength to mean it , say “ Yes ”. ~ inspired by Stephen Colbert
“ The Soul becomes hued with the color of its deeds .” ~ inspired by Marcus Aurelius
