Bracket Play Quarterfinals: Wisconsin vs. Missouri 25-18, 25-12 Semifinals: Wisconsin vs. New Mexico 27-25, 25-12 LEFT: Senior Championship: Wisconsin vs. Minnesota 15-25, 9-25 Lyssa The bracket play began with WSD as the top seed. WSD vs. Rock County Christian School 9-25, 12-25, 23-25 After the euphoria of achieving second place at the GPSD tournament, Wisconsin had to face Rock County to whom they lost earlier in the season. Rock County controlled the entire match with their home-court advantage. The Lady Firebirds attempted to mount a comeback in the third game but Rock County was able to pull away with a win. WSD vs. Mountain Top Christian Academy 21-25, 11-25, 18-25 The first game started even between both teams as WSD and Mountain Top played good offense and defense. At one point, the score was tied nine to nine and the battle continued to the point where Mountain Top was able to take the lead 22-21. They did not look back again. The Wisconsin offense struggled mightily in the second game and Mountain Top came out on the top. The Lady Firebirds found their offense in the third game and kept it close but Mountain Top pulled away with the win. WSD vs. Oakhill Christian School 20-25, 24-26, 21-25 The Lady Firebirds met Oakhill for the second time WSD vs. Arkansas School for the this season. They were seeking to even the series. In the second game, Maranatha came to life but WSD stayed in the lead 2118. However, Maranatha was able to take the game behind excellent serves. WSD then won the third game with diligent play from the seniors. Maranatha eventually won the final two games as a result of Wisconsin’s serving errors.
