High School Boys Track
Deer eld Mini-Invite at Deer eld 5th place
Wisconsin Deaf achieved fth place out of six teams
at the Deer eld Mini-Invite in Deer eld, Wisconsin.
Junior Gunner Hahn led the track team with two rst
place nishes in 110m hurdles and 300m hurdles.
Sophomore Damon Hopp placed third in the triple
jump and ran to fourth place in the 100m dash.
Sophomore Daniel Romero dashed to a fourth place in
the 400m.
GPSD at Iowa School for the Deaf: 4th Place
Competing against seven other Deaf schools in the
Great Prairies Schools for the Deaf track and eld
meet in Iowa, Wisconsin took third place. Gunner
Hahn continued his winning ways by achieving rst
place in both high jump and 100m hurdles as well
as fourth place in 400m hurdles, breaking WSD’s
record. The boys’ relay team, consisting of juniors
Tanner Evans, Gunner Hahn, and Anthony Lange and
sophomore Damon Hopp, ran to a third place nish
in the 4 X 400 relay. The Firebirds collected a total of
twenty-three medals in the GPSD competition.
Badger JV Invitational: 8th place
The Firebirds were invited by Badger High School
in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin to compete with eleven
other teams. The WSD relay team was able to stay in
the competition against the other schools and nish
in fourth place in the 4X200 and fth place in 4X100.
Senior Lennon Morrissey provided leadership on the
relay team with juniors Anthony Lange, Jose ZepedaAmador, and sophomore Damon Hopp. Gunner Hahn
hurdled his way to rst place in the 110m hurdles out
of a total of nineteen runners.
Indian Trials Conference Tourney 3rd Place

The Indian Trials Conference tournament was held at
Delavan-Darien High School. The Firebirds were able
to win 3rd place out of 10 teams competing. Anthony
Lange jumped to a third place nish in triple jump.
In shot put, Junior Michael Lawson threw to a third
place. The relay team won second place in 4X200 and
won third place in 4X100. Senior Lennon Morrissey
dashed to fourth place in 200M while junior Damon
Hopp took 3rd place. Juniors Tanner Evans and Gunner
Hahn soared to third and fourth places in high jump.
