WSD celebrated its first win of the season against Michigan Deaf
in straight games. Lori Eldred led the team to victory with 12
points, 8 aces, 11 passes, 2 hits, a kill, and 6 sets. Anna Dorst was
Lori’s right-hand girl with 5 points, an ace, 7 passes, a kill, and
a set. Maydee Vande Hey contributed with 3 points, 3 aces, 18
passes, 5 sets, 5 blocks, and 3 kills. Hannah Rees assisted with 3
points, 2 aces, 16 passes, 13 sets, and 2 tip kills.
WSD vs. Mountain Top 6–25, 14–25, 9–25
WSD was swept by Mountain Top 0–3. Hannah Rees led the
team with 4 points, 2 aces, 14 passes, and 14 sets. Lori Eldred
assisted with 2 points, 11 passes, and 5 sets.
WSD vs. Mountain Top 6–25, 11–25, 13–25
WSD suffered a loss in the second consecutive match against
Mountain Top. Hannah Rees had 27 passes and 20 sets. Anna
Dorst had 11 passes and a set. Lori Eldred rounded out the team
with 10 passes, 2 kills, 17 sets, and 2 tip kills.
