HAKU by Si Hall & Arthur Gold

If you want to live the longest possible life , choose a Japanese diet . 100 % of Centenarians living in Osaka would testify to it .
If you actually think about it , the Wirral is an interesting , unique place , full of the broadest variety of characters who have lived / worked all over the planet and ultimately returned ' home ', with a highly developed sense of taste .
Like everything in Japanese culture , the delicate art of Sushi is a fine skill , even for the skilful . Amazingly , the Wirral has never had a top notch Sushi experience , until now .
Classically trained musician Kris Foulger-Roberts and his wife returning home from their travels thought the same and founded Haku in Wirral .
Situated in the funky Woodside Ferry Food Village , Haku is essentially a super rare ' one-off ' with regards to offering the fine art of Sushi on our peninsula , ( let alone the North West ).
We took the family to try a selection of dishes from the menu .
• Haku bento box
• Haku sushi box
• Nigiri box
• Kaiso Salad
• Edamame
• Takoyaki
• Korean chicken
• Pork Bulgogi
• Salt and pepper chicken
If you ' re a fan of Sushi , then let ' s be honest , you expect it to be crafted by experts masterfully trained in this highly skilled art .
There is literally zero cutting corners in this realm . And this is where Kris and his superb team Leigh Kempster ( trained in London ) and Krys Mazurek ( trained in house ) deliver to the highest possible standard we ' ve experienced outside of London .
Massively impressed with this level of finesse . Absolutely pristine .
Well done guys . Up there with the best of the best in the UK . 10 out of 5 Stars !
