SKELETON COAST Wirral's biggest music celebration Skeleton Coast returned for its biggest year in a epic festival in the stunning setting of the historic Leasowe Castle. Following on from The Coral's phenomenal homecoming last year it was Last Shadow Puppets frontman, Miles Kane turn to take centre stage with a storming set performing songs from his back catalogue and acclaimed third solo record Coup De Grace alongside new material. Also featuring over 20 of the UK’s up and coming bands and artists across 3 stages the best in new music was on show. Highlighting the diversity in the current Merseyside music scene were the likes of Red Rum Club, The Peach Fuzz, Mysterines, The Fernweh, Sundowners and Marvin Powell all on top form. With other stand out sets by The Snuts, Dream Wife and Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard. With a boutique feel and the castle staff welcoming throughout it was a real highlight of the Festival Calender. 86 wirrallife.com 80
