CD’S - HOT OFF THE PRESS Blue on Blue The incomparable Connie Lush releases a long- awaited solo album which includes a duet with Thomas Lang. I PREDICT... Bearing in mind that it was The Buz Magazine that predicted the rise of The Zutons and The Corel, I thought I might go for a hat trick and predict that Harrison Drive will make it too. This band plays songs about love, loss, life, and death, with passion and energy. Simple, honest, and direct, these are songs that the listener can instantly relate to, their melodies will continue to swim around your head. No tricks, no gimmicks, just a band. Well to be honest, they are all my favourites! I have admired this lady from the age of 17 and she delivers each and every time. The gravely, raspy vocal combined with the piano and trumpet, evoke scenes from a bar on Beele Street, Memphis. Hailed by BB King himself, I am in good company as a true fan. My advice – go and buy the album today as I believe this is her last recording… I really hope not!
