THE TIM COGLEY
MEMORIAL GOLF DAY
Tension, excitement and just the occasional
mulligan glimpsed along high quality play
were the order of the day at Heswall Golf Club
on Friday, 14th September. The Tim Cogley
Memorial Golf Day raised more than £4000
for the Foundation.
Fourball competitors dodged the showers
and enjoyed a great day before joining family,
friends and a host of supporters for barbecue
and entertainment. Mum Sheila said, “ We miss
Tim so much and his happy smile: not having
him around every day hurts deeply. But we know
how proud he would have been of his friends and
family supporting such a wonderful day for Tim’s
charity.”
The Foundation is funding heart screening for
18-39 year olds across Merseyside, with the
Wirral pilot phase scheduled before Christmas.
Fellow trustee, Jan Molby added, "What a superb
day, so brilliantly and lovingly organised by Jayne
Dixon, supported by my other half - Mandy with
auction and raffle prizes. Tim was a top guy, a
good and loyal friend who would have loved
today.”
Before presenting prizes with Sheila, Tim's
dad, Frank, updated everyone on the initiative’s
progress, promising full details of the Wirral
launch in next month’s Wirral Life. "A huge
thanks" he said, to competitors, friends,
family and supporters who ensured this truly
memorable and successful day.
