inspiration. mirrored furniture, really makes a statement. The ceiling light

Elan Homes enlisted Stanza Style to dress the five-bedroom
Chesham show home at the development in Parkgate and
Neston. While many of the design cues are taken from the
surrounding natural environment, the stylists have also had lots
of fun, creating bedrooms full of character including a Roald
Dahl inspired children’s room. Alex Egan, from Stanza Style,
explains: “We’ve thought about the type of families who would
want to live at Old Quay Meadow and styled the show home
with lots of character and personality, while also showcasing
the spaciousness and the specification. For example, the open
plan, kitchen, dining and family room is the hub of the home,
somewhere families will create new memories and recall old
ones. We’ve covered one of the walls with a map and pinned
postcards to it, creating the impression that this is the home of
a well-travelled family. It’s been a real talking point amongst
visitors who want to recreate the look in their own homes
Upstairs, in one of the children’s bedrooms, we’ve pained a
mural of Charlie Bucket and Willy Wonka at the factory gates
on one of the walls in their bedroom. This characterful room
captures the imaginations of parents and children alike and
has lots of accessories linked to the story and films. There’s also
a teenage girl’s room we like to call the enchantment room.
Painted lilac, furnished with a wooden bed with willow sprayed
silver and tied to the frame with sparkly LED lights, bird boxes
and pinecones, it’s lots of fun.” The second bedroom features metallic wallpaper and an
upholstered beige bedstead. One of the bedrooms is dressed
as a guest room with tile effect wallpaper, plus cream and oak
furniture, giving it a Moroccan feel. Trellis style wallpaper in
the lounge is complemented by a green upholstered coffee table
set atop a mauve rug, plus walnut furniture and a statement
mirror above the fireplace. Van Gough inspired wallpaper
in the dining room has the texture of an oil painting. A
quality oak dining table, set for six, with upholstered chairs,
emphasises the spaciousness of this room. Gill Dale, field sales
manager for Elan Homes in the North, said: “Dozens of people
have viewed the Chesham show home at Old Quay Meadow
and the overwhelming feedback is that they love the interior
styling. We’ve also had lots of comments about how spacious
the properties are and the high specification we offer. It really is
a must-see for buyers.”
