WIRRAL MAYORS BALL
The Mayor & Mayoress of Wirral , Councillor Jeff Green and Mrs Carol Green , last night hosted a spectacular charity Ball at Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa .
Over 200 people attended , making the night a huge success and helped to raise a significant amount of funds for the Mayors chosen charities .
Maggie ’ s Wirral is a cancer caring centre based on the grounds of Clatterbridge Cancer Centre , Unlike the cold , clinical corridors and stark spaces in a hospital , Maggie ' s is a peaceful haven - warm , vibrant and full of life . Anyone can drop in with no appointment or referral required . Much needed respite is just moments away from the ward , everyone needs something different to help them cope , Maggie ’ s work closely with each individual to identify support that empowers them to negotiate a way through their own cancer journey making life feel more manageable . Cancer can turn life upside down for the whole family , Maggie ’ s provides support for friends and family too .
IncuBabies is run by volunteers , supporting the Neo Natal Until at Arrowe Park along with research into nutrition and digestion in low weight full term babies and Neo Natal babies which is hoping to prevent fatal infections .
