Lu Ban Head Chef as featured on BBC ’ s Great British Menu and Come Dine with Me the Professionals Chef Dave Critchley presented his debut book and 2 course lunch at Thornton Hall Hotel on the 7th September . Wirral Life Editor , Si Hall hosted a Q & A with Chef who also gave a live demonstration of his signature dessert the Cherry Blossom .
Over 70 guests attended the lunch which supported the Tiny Stars Neonatal Unit with a raffle and auction which raised £ 4,600 . Victoria Burrows Head of Fundraising for Tiny Stars said , “ I would like to thank everyone who attended the event and donated so generously . I ’ d also like to thank everyone involved in the planning of the event including our Ambassador Mandy Molby , the Team at Thornton Hall , Wirral Life and of course Chef Dave Critchley and his team . The food was exquisite and everyone had a wonderful afternoon .”
